Got Brief is a great website where anyone can upload their work to a set weekly challenge.  They give you a word such as ‘DANGER’ and all you need to do is respond to it however which way you choose.  You don’t have to take it literally either, you can start off with the word and see where it takes you.  The brilliant thing is that you could spend 2 minutes doing a project or a few days, so it’s really up to you!  I think its great to get the creative juices flowing.  I was very pleased indeed when my submitted work titled ‘Will he?’ was featured for last weeks brief.  It’s a great way to share work and see how other people respond to the same brief.

We love Twitter…it acquaints us with some amazingly interesting people, and from time to time we are struck by their truly awesome originality. This time we have fallen in love with Hayley Kendal Sculpture and her upcycled ‘beings’ – constructed from eclectic old materials and objects, and composed to create endearing one-of-a-kind characters. Hayley has just set up a blog, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on it as she works to bring life to old, forgotten materials. Our favourites so far are Cecil (pictured, made with parts from an old black & white TV, and a toaster) and the beautiful Mrs Frog.

Hayley Kendal Sculpture is on Twitter and posts on her blog – keep a watch on her work, it’s fab!
